Song voting for DJs, parties and events
See which requests your guests share. They suggest tracks and like songs already on the list. Song votes bring popular requests to the top, helping you read the crowd without handing over your set.

Turn song votes into useful crowd input
- 01
Open a free room
Create a room for your party or event and set its request times. Share its link or QR code with everyone who should be able to join.
- 02
Build a shared request list
Guests search for a song and add it to the room. A new request also counts as a vote for that song, so the first suggestion already has support.
- 03
Like songs already requested
Guests use the heart beside a track to support it. Each guest can vote once for a requested track. Popular requests move up the ranking.
- 04
Choose the right track for the moment
Check the votes alongside the rest of your set. Filter or hide requests, play the songs yourself and mark tracks as played when you are ready.
Song requests and song votes do different jobs
A request adds a musical idea to the event. A vote shows that another guest wants the same track. Encourage guests to check the existing list before suggesting a song, so shared favorites can gather support in one place.
Voting uses likes on the request list. It is not a separate ballot or an automatic playlist: guests contribute ideas, and the DJ decides what fits.
Use the ranking at parties and events
The most-voted requests appear first, making it easier to spot shared favorites without reading every suggestion in order. A track with several likes can be a useful cue when you are deciding where to take the dance floor.
Votes are one signal, rather than the entire running order. Consider the current mood, the timing of a special moment and the tracks you have already played. Marking songs as played keeps the working queue clearer.
Keep control of the music
The dashboard lets you filter requests by status or genre, hide songs that do not suit the event and save interesting tracks for later. A highly ranked request still needs your musical judgment.
VoteTheDJ does not start playback, mix songs or promise that every request will be played. Keep your own DJ software or player open and use the voting list alongside it.
Frequently asked questions
How do guests vote for songs?
They open the guest room and use the heart beside a requested track. Creating a new request also counts as a vote for that track.
Can a guest vote for the same track more than once?
The guest page remembers supported tracks and disables their vote button. Votes cannot be withdrawn. Guests can still support other songs on the list.
Does the song with the most votes automatically play next?
No. Votes determine the request ranking. The DJ or host chooses which track to play and plays it using their own setup.
Can guests vote without signing up?
Yes. Guests join using your link or QR code without creating an account. The host signs in to manage the room.
What if the top request does not fit my event?
You can hide it in your dashboard. You can also filter the queue and choose another request that better fits the moment.
